Annual Appetizer Cook Off - 3-7-26 - 3pm

Calling all local chefs! Bring your best attempt at a homemade appetizer and bring it to Max’s for a chance to win some cash! Each customer pays $5 to sample each appetizer. Each customer gets one vote for their favorite appetizer. Once the votes are tallied we will payout first, second, and third respectively. No sign up required just have you appetizer ready to serve at 3pm. Most bring a crock pot with a serving utensil. Max’s will provide plates, napkins, and silverware.

Annual Soup Cook Off - 3-14-26 - 2pm

This is our annual BRING YOUR BEST SOUP RECIPE to the bar! Bring a crock pot of your best homemade soup with a serving utensil. Each customer pays $5 to sample each soup. Annual Chili Cook Off - 3-28-26 - 2pm

This is our annual BRING YOUR BEST CHILI RECIPE to the bar! Best tasting chili that gets the most votes gets to win some cash! Each customer pays $5 to sample each appetizer. Each customer gets one vote for their favorite chili recipe. Once the votes are tallied we will payout first, second, and third respectively. No sign up required just have you chili ready to serve at 2pm. Most bring a crock pot with a serving utensil. Max’s will provide plates, napkins, and silverware.

Thursday Nite Music Series - May 21st thru September 3rd

Our coveted Thursday Nite Music Series is back in classic fashion starting on Thursdays in June. This is a live local musician covering several genres of music. This is a free event with no cover charge. Music is played outside weather permitting. Get to the lake and save our spot as our patio seating fills up fast. We do open the windows to the bar so guests inside the bar and dining room can still hear the music. The lineup is listed below
